New recommendations by the ICNIRP

International: 11 March 2020

The ICNIRP (International Commission for Non Ionizing Radiation Protection) has published its new recommendations in the “Health Physics” journal, which was recently published on 9 March in the United States.

These guidelines do not call into question the standards established in 1998 when the institution published guidelines about exposure to electromagnetic fields (CEM) for the range of frequencies from 0 to 300 GHz.

These recommendations are based on the recommendations made by WHO and the ITU and have been widely adopted by national and international authorities.

As part of its current activities, ICNIRP has reassessed radiofrequency (RF) exposure limit values for the 100 kHz to 300 GHz range.
