The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has launched a new EMF Guide
The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has launched a new EMF Guide, aimed at providing information and educational resources on EMF to governments as well as various communities and stakeholders.
Topics covered by the resource include an introduction and overview; information specific to mobile phones, base stations, and SAR; guidelines and standards; and FAQs/myths. ITU recommendations are also accessible from the new guide.
The ITU collaborated with the WHO to ensure alignment with existing WHO guidance on EMF; its “resources” section links to the relevant websites of WHO, ICNIRP, and national governmental resources from Australia, Canada, Japan, Korea, Switzerland, UK, and USA.
